North Korea has put a dome on a light-water reactor it is building, a key step towards completing a plant that could be used to support its nuclear weapons programme, a leading defence journal said.
"North Korea has taken a major step in its mission to build a modern, indigenous nuclear reactor with a 21-metre diameter dome now having been emplaced over the reactor building," said image analyst Allison Puccioni. "The emplacement of the dome is a significant development, although it may take several more years for the facility to be completed and brought into full operation." | |
