#21  Likely Mr. Obama will be on the same circuit as Mr. Carter. And Mr. Carter does quite well.

#19  How much does the Secretary General of the UN make?

Can we now make Hawaii the official state residence of this man, not Illinois or Kansas.

#18  I don't expect he'll make all that much on the speaking tour. We've all heard that BS, he has no coat-tails, and he's refused to kick down $
same old shit

#17  He will make fabulous amounts of money on speaking tours and no doubt writing a book or two. I also suspect he will inject himself into politics at every opportunity until the left is more than sick of him (especially as he will have cost them everything after their massive tidalwave in 2008).

#16  Oh, god, please be on Oahu, please be on Oahu...

That's a pretty little property there. I thought, $3.5 million for that?? Misread the price.

#14  The title of the post is misleading

To be fair, most Presidents have acquired a house prior to the end of their final term, usually paid for by collecting money from friends, political allies, and past political donors.

If the various news sources are to be believed, it's a bit different this time around, because the fundraising is a tad less... enthusiastic.

#13  The guest house is for George

#9  Price tag....35million. Obama must be getting his Pardon pen ready for his big exit.

#8  Reading deeper into the details of the house (I do like looking at houses), it has a 1,926 sq ft guest house.

Probably, like the Clintons and Biden, The One will charge the Secret Service somewhere in the neighbor of $10,000 a month for rent. Might cover their electric bill.

#4  Ah, so soon. He will live beyond his means. I have said that he will be broke in a few short years. Why change when your spending other peoples money.
Hawaii is one of the most expensive places to live.
Just imagine his security costs alone.

#3  FLOTUS as the modern day Queen Liliuokalani. Quite believable actually.
