While the arctic ice is at a record low (at least since the polar orbiting satellite era began), Antarctic and nearby sea ice cover is higher than normal.

#1  And as in recent years, we will see record winter sea ice formation. Which of course never gets mentioned, because GHG warming theory predicts the exact opposite.

The primary cause of Arctic sea ice melt is embedded black carbon, which I explain in this WUWT thread.
