Hook Boy Arrives in US |
2012-10-06 |
![]() The preacher, Abu Hamza al-Masri, was taken to a federal lockup next to the federal courthouse in lower Manhattan to face charges that he conspired with Seattle men to set up a terrorist training camp in Oregon and that he helped abduct 16 hostages, two of them American tourists, in Yemen in 1998. "I'm absolutely delighted that Abu Hamza is now out of this country," British Prime Minister David Cameron said. "Like the rest of the public I'm sick to the back teeth of people who come here, threaten our country, who stay at vast expense to the taxpayer and we can't get rid of them." Are there no accidents in Britain anymore? The only accident I want for Hook Boy is with a bar of soap in a shower in the federal pen... Al-Masri has been in a British jail since 2004 on separate charges of inciting racial hatred and encouraging followers to kill non-Muslims. |

#11 But current and former inmates, lawyers and others familiar with the prison describe it as an infernal environment in which even the design of the cells and the architecture of the prison conspire to render the inmates docile and drive them mad. Sounds like the design parameters have been well met. I also wonder how they are going to modify Hook Boy's hooks to render them safe. |

#10 An apology to the Queen is a small price to pay, I'm sure it was an profitable and acceptable risk to BBC. |

#5 I'm totally good with that Spogum: But current and former inmates, lawyers and others familiar with the prison describe it as an infernal environment in which even the design of the cells and the architecture of the prison conspire to render the inmates docile and drive them mad. |

#2 Think if you will, of the lives, financial, and logistical savings which could have been realized through the discreet employment of a well oiled Makarov. |

#1 Are there no accidents in Britain anymore? Like a lorry hitting him as he crosses the street? Or he gets electrocuted when his hook hits a high voltage line? Or the toilet gets plugged up and he drowns? |
