#8 Actually I think both cannidates have to answer each question. So the questions will be along the lines of: Do you think Romney will ever stop beating his wife and molesting his children? Why is Obama the greatest, strongest, handsomest, and wisest person the world has ever seen or will ever see again? |

#6 ... and by 'questions', we mean advocacy and spin. |

#5 IIUC Crowley has said she intends to add her own questions. |

#4 there are to be 80 self described undecideds Crowley will choose among the questions selected by the undecideds and then pose a follow up after a question has been answered by both candidates. Somewhere between a dozen and two dozen questions will be selected, depending. There have been two major problems with this format in the past. 1. Some questions have multiple parts or are quite lengthy or have embedded assumptions. Moderators tend to avoid these. 2. Some questions are so incoherent you can't figure out what the issue is. Moderators tend to avoid these also. In 2008, the questions actually selected were, IMO, pretty good - in fact better than the ones developed by moderators in the other two debates. Hence, McCain basically drew even with Obama in the 2008 town hall debate. |

#3 I won't watch; I'll get the lowlights later. Bambi's hectoring, I-know-better-than-you-do-and-how-dare-you-question-me voice drives me bananas. Bambi's down in Williamsburg "prepping" - wonder if his people have convinced him to do something besides play golf and visit a local dam. I doubt it will do him any good, but I have no doubt the "moderator" - who is obviously in the tank for him - will run as much cover as possible for him. I just don't think he can keep himself hidden for 90 minutes. Romney will keep his cool, and no doubt has his people throwing out the worst, most insulting questions for him to practice against. Isn't this the "foreign policy" debate? Wonder how the I do appreciate those who are willing to make the supreme sacrifice and watch so they can report ACCURATELY what happened and what was said (as opposed the spinmeisters in the LSM). |

#2 JohnQC Hello!. Ditto your comment. I believe the Biden approach will be used. The only way to keep communication to a minimum. |

#1 I am looking forward to the Presidential debate on Tuesday, 9 p.m. est. Hope Romney has a great showing. He has a battle on two fronts; Candy Crowley, and Obama's lies. He should do all right. There is so much low-hanging fruit for the picking in the debate. Obama's record is deplorable--worst in my lifetime. What are Rantburger's thoughts on the debate? |
