| Government tells public to stay away from free gas until after first responders fuel up |

| The order was put out as long lines formed Saturday after Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the Defense Department was opening mobile fuel stations in New York City and on Long Island The government says the public should stay away from free New York fuel stations until emergency responders get their gas. National Guard Col. Richard Goldenberg said Saturday afternoon that people who were already at the distribution sites would not be turned away. But he says the priority would be giving gas to law enforcement agents, firefighters, EMTs and other emergency responders. That included gas for their personal vehicles, if necessary, so they could get to work. Long lines of vehicles and pedestrians formed after Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the U.S. Department of Defense was opening the mobile fuel stations in New York City and on suburban Long Island. The state Division of Military and Naval Affairs then asked the public to stay away until more fuel is released. |

| #8 When gas rationing occured in the late 70's due to an oil embargo, the public was warned first responders would get priority if things got serious enough, however, it never was implemented. It was considered a last resort, rather than this decision. |

(OK,one of them has got a wellpaid job but what what about the others?. Also about _that_ commuisty organizer, amI the only one to find fishjy that he can spend twenty million dollars in a house? Neither the salry of a junior senator noir the one of the POTUS allos to make so much money.Where does it come from? |

| #3 It would seem the military has a good track record of moving fuel into war zones and up into forward operating bases to fuel generators, etc. It's not like the first time we have done this sort of thing. Does bureaucracy forget what its learned after each crisis? |
