Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (public relation) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said the arrest was made around 6:15pm.

The DB sources said Parwar had been kept under watch since afternoon and was taken to the DB office on Minto Road around 8:30pm after his arrest.

Parwar was shown arrested in a case filed in connection with a clash between Jamaat-Shibir men and police and vandalism done by the activists on November 5 in Motijheel, the DB sources added.

Masudur said that Parwar will be produced before court today demanding remand.
