Former Marine Colonel To Town Council: 'You're Building A Domestic Army; Are You Blind?'
2013-08-16
Videos at link...
"We did everything we could to build the Iraqi Army, and I'm telling you right now, the Department of Homeland Security would kick their butts."

"What we're doing here, and let's not kid about it, is we're building a domestic army and shrinking the military because the government is afraid of its own citizens ... "

"The last time 10 terrorists were in the same place at the same time was September 11th, and all these [armored] vehicles wouldn't have prevented it, nor would they have helped anything."

"We're building an Army over here and I can't believe people aren't seeing it, is everybody blind?"
They're not blind. They're watching Duck Dynasty and playing Call of Duty: Black Ops

#4  I understand its better to hand out the ex-mil equipment rather than rust it, but the thing about boys is that if you give them toys they will want to play with them.

btw, how did the DHS youth brigade perform in Hurricane Sandy?

I have been struggling with what P2K brings up. At what point does a civilian police force become a soldier en regard to the 3rd Amendment? Having a barracks, I think everyone can agree on that. But what is a gated and guarded neighborhood? Opponents of the 2nd claim it was meant for hunting, then they must concede that giving a civilian force the same equipment as a military - drones, armored vehicles, weapons not available authority to conduct operations outside of civilian law systems.

Perhaps all of the lahyers in charge, who spent their entire education and professional ids around the process of procedure and definitions, could explain why they are so not interested in procedure and definition.

#2  1 - that Iraqi army went home to the barracks at night.

2 - when they start building barracks or refurbishing barracks abandoned by DoD become worried.

3 - when you have to go home at night, there is no protection. That's why so many of the Iraqi and Afghan local police are 'ineffective'. They want to be there in the morning, along with their family, to go back to work. Particularly among a community where no one sees anything.

#1  Feb 28, 1993 was one of our first clues. They've gone on steroids in the past few years.
