| #10 Pretty simple:no boots on the ground. C3I decapitation of the Syrian Govt, AND AlQ in Syria, arm the Kurds, and then get the popcorn going. Destroy WMDs, and destroy any organized group backed by either alliance (Russian/Iranian/Norks or Soddys/Turks). The time to do this was long ago, back when the rebels still had some liberty-minded folk at thier leadership tables. Instead Obumble dicked around until most of htem were killed, and Al Qaeda and other radical (Muslim Brotherhood anyone?) group moved into the vacuum. There are not winners in this one, only survivors. Key is to weaken any surviving group to where it cannot effectively take power, nor take possession of any WMD in the Bekka or other places. Sustained internal civil war fueled by various internal hatreds and armed by outsiders. Thats about the "best" outcome for now for anyone except the poor bastards in Syria. Threater - you quite obviously are not a soldier. That sort of question and your "who would you shoot first" is straight from the leftard playbook. The folks here tend be descendants from ancestors who were great toro fecundians - Go sell stupid someplace else, we don't bad vietnam movie plots. |

Who would you shoot first? Would you "do it for your country"? Would you do it because you loved your job and were just dying to earn the "gratitude " of the Pentagon and all the people who won't go themselves? You ready to die for....Syria? How about if you are the Captain in command of your Company? Ready to give that Order and accomplish the Mission? Look your men in the ye and motivate them. Ready to fight to set the suffering Moslems free? yeah? How free are the Moslems in Iraq...and they just love us and thank us and are we ready to do it again? Why, of course we are...anything for the gratitude of the American people down at Dairy Queen. And Bruce and Dwayne in the present Administration....the whole Platoon is ready to do anything for Americans like that. You betcha. Send your mother. |

| #4 Americans also 'strongly oppose' Obamacare, but that hardly seems to be changing anything. We appear to have a greater knowledge and understanding of events, but lack the power to do anything about them. Knowledge and inaction are both precursors to complacency, acquiescence, and surrender. Those who would lead from behind are smiling. |
