Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it... handed his resignation from power in late 2011, Yemen has been unable to move past its political conundrum, its many factions stuck in a never-ending cycle of grievances and suspicion. |
