American hating, terrorist loving, Nobel Peace prize winner dies at 95
2013-12-06

Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years as a prisoner in South Africa for killing innocents, then emerged to become his country's first black president, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and an enduring symbol of Marxism, mayhem and pestilence, died Thursday at 95.

#13  Oh, sorry but South Africa matters? Just saying ...

#12  Consider this: the gushing about his greatness will greatly overshadow Pearl Harbor day. Do you think the Great One will stop to say anything about that? Nope, me neither.

#11  Gee guys. No love for the man who made South Africa what it is today? (and yeah, you can take that however you want)

#10  It seems that the "Nobel Peace Prize" has been reduced in stature, Obama won, and Mandela, that's two who did not deserve it.

#9  The state funeral will be held the 15th, missing 'The Day of The Vow' (now called Reconciliation Day), by one day. The renaming of
Pennsylvania Avenue and to be announced shortly.

#8  I wonder how large a delegation the Chinese will send?

#7  Just watch out, all these old farts are dying, you think the gushing is bad now, just wait.

#6  I wonder how long this media and governmental slobbering and lovefest will go on?

#5  Lifson is one of several. I nearly had to turn the teevee off when Dana Parino began her slobbering rant last evening. But that was only a warm-up for the Juan Williams gushing salute.

Apartheid still exists, little has changed. The only differences are the signs have come down, a one party ANC 'rule' by blacks controls a piece of everything, crime is even worse, unemployment is rampant, the squalid townships have grown, the highways [now tolled] are full of potholes and the robots [stop signs] don't work, the military is fat, 50+ % HIV pos, and snoring under trees.

Think 'Detroit' with a population increase, a extinguished middle-class, and rampant HIV, and you'll have nailed it.

#4  American Thinker's Thomas Lifson just lost a large chunk of his readership for his gushing praise of this murdering jamoke.

#3  Can't wait for Whinny's eulogy - maybe they will burn a tire around someone's neck, yeah know the good ole days.

#2  spent 27 years as a prisoner in South Africa for opposing apartheid

No, he spent 27 years in jail for bombings that killed dozens. No mention in the media made of that, or of his lovely wife Winnie.

Irony would see him planted on The Day of the Vow (16 Dec), which commemorates Boer victory over the Zulu. History rewritten, it's called something else now of course. I'm for a slow funeral march with Sarie Marais played softly in the background.

POTUS and FLOTUS must be packing beach towels as I type. What a lovely diversion holiday.

#1  One of those days that I'm glad the TV's gone so I won't have witness the international media lickfest over this.
