| Three dead in Gilgit unrest, mobile services suspended |

| [Pak Daily Times] GILGIT: Mobile phone services were suspended in Gilgit early on Wednesday morning after the corpse count from incidents of violence reached three. Panic has gripped the area since Monday because of the killings. The residents of the area are also facing trouble in accessing Internet. Deputy Commissioner Shahbaz Tahir said the security forces were working on a plan to curb violence and the suspension of mobile services was part of the plan. He did not disclose any further details of the plan. Tahir said the authorities were taking action against troublemakers and the writ of the government would soon be restored in the area. |
