| Belmokhtar-led group issues new threats |

| [MAGHAREBIA] The "Mourabitounes" issued a new statement threatening the interests of La Belle France and its allies in retaliation for their operations in Mali, ANI reported on Saturday (January 4th). The terrorist group was created in August as a merger between Mokhtar Belmokhtar's El Moulethemoune brigade and the Movement for Tawhid and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO). The statement highlighted terrorist operations performed by the two groups in 2013, including the execution of foreign hostages, Algeria's In Amenas gas complex crisis, and the deadly attacks in Niger. |
