Four people, a Buddhist monk, a ranger, a police officer and a civilian, were killed and five others wounded in three separate attacks in Pattani and Yala provinces yesterday morning.The monk and a ranger were killed and another ranger injured by a bomb blast in Pattani's Panare district. In another attack, a 64-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Pattani's Khok Pho district. Witnesses said the victim was traveling on the road when a gunman riding pillion on another motorcycle shot at him with a handgun. He was shot in the head and died at the scene.
