Britain To Take In Hundreds Of Women And Children From Syria
2014-01-29
A noble gesture. Good luck with that, guys. Seriously.
Britannia will take in hundreds of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees, including rape and torture victims, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said on Tuesday, announcing a softening of the government's stance.

Clegg said the government had been given United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
backing to accept Syrian refugees on a case-by-case basis, but was stopping short of agreeing to take in a quota under a U.N. scheme to resettle 30,000 of the most vulnerable cases.

#9  Absolutely stupid. Let them live in the neighboring Arab nations so they are well positioned to be used against the Assad regime for forty something years. That is the middle eastern way and we should play by their rules.

The Kurds an join Kurdistan rather than refugee camps.

#6  Perhaps that is why Women and Children are first - to secure housing and 'income' for their male owners who will come later to claim the booty.

#5  Its not like the UK is already overcrowded with foreigners.

No doubt they will jump the Council housing queue and claim benefits from day one.

No wonder the country is skint!

With inevitable consequences...
