Nawaz satisfied with progress on Taliban peace talks |

Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf... on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over progress of the government committee holding talks with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) to bring an end to the acts of terrorism in the country. According to media reports, he told news hounds that the armed forces of Pakistain were supportive of the government's peace initiative. The premier said the Taliban have assured of action against those who had committed acts of terrorism in the recent days. He hoped positive outcome of the talks. |
