Israeli arm dealers tried to sell arms to Iran through Greece
2014-02-18
[Ynet] A joint American-Greek investigation revealed that Israeli arms dealers tried to smuggle spare parts for F-4 Phantom aircrafts to Iran through Greece, in a breach of the arms embargo imposed on Tehran, Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported on Sunday.
"So sharp he'd cut himself," as they say. Idiots. Let 'em rot.

#3  The aviation spares business has the potential to provide excellent long-term access and connections.

You've got something they need. They've got something..... you need, and it may have nothing to do with money.

#2  Questions, questions...

Even with good pilots, are aging Phantoms much of a threat in this day and age?

Why would Israelis sell *anything* of military value to the Persians? Money is the easy answer. But if the spares were radar and avionics, this could be an opportunity to rig the game.
