| Charges Issued against Naim Abbas, 20 Other Terror Suspects |

| [An Nahar] The military prosecutor charged on Monday 21 suspects, including an al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades ... Leb's current al-Qaeda affiliate, named after a guy whose car the current head of al-Qaeda had boomed... official, for belonging to an armed terrorist network. Four of the suspects, including terrorist Naim Abbas, a Paleostinian described as Abdullah Azzam Brigades' number two man in Leb, are in jug. The charges issued against them by Judge Saqr Saqr include transporting booby-trapped vehicles from Syria to Leb. Abbas was also charged with involvement in two bombings that have recently rocked the Haret Hreik district of Beirut's southern suburbs. He was tossed in the calaboose Please don't kill me! by the Lebanese army in the Beirut neighborhood of Corniche al-Mazraa on Feb. 12. Several of the latest bombings in Hizbullah ... Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistanceand purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... strongholds in Beirut's southern suburbs and the Bekaa valley have been claimed by the Abdullah Azzam Brigades whose leader, Majed al-Majed, was captured by Lebanese authorities in December and died in jug later. |
