| Multiple attacks kill two in southern Thailand |

| Unknown assailants hurled firebombs and riddled a small factory with bullets in Narathiwat province late on Monday night. Nobody was wounded. Meanwhile in Pattani province, a motorcycle bomb exploded yesterday afternoon killing a paramilitary ranger and injuring three others. Rangers were on patrol when a home-made bomb hidden in a motorcycle parked on the roadside was detonated. Four of the rangers were wounded, and one was later pronounced dead at the hospital. This fatal blast took place only hours after another bomb went off in Narathiwat's Tak Bai district. The attack seriously wounded two soldiers who were escorting teachers to school. |
