A firing squad fired live ammunitions at Mohamed Omar Adow, Yahye Sheikh Abdullahi Ahmed, and Hussein Ali Ahmed at Mogadishu Police Academy in the presence of court and Police officials.Adow was convicted of killing journalist Mustafe Hussein on the main road between the market town of Afgoye and Mogadishu while Yahye and Ahmed deliberately shot dead two police officers in Mogadishu's Wardhigley district, military court chairman Col. Liban Ali Yarow Said.
"Every killer soldier will be brought to justice, he or she will face execution and nobody can break the law with impunity," added Col. Yarow.
Federal Government of Somalia previously executed many soldiers for the murder of other soldiers and civilians. Somali National Army (SNA) commander-in-chief disclosed at media briefings in Mogadishu the sacking of 700 soldiers from the army on February 14.
