| Search sweeps conducted in Eel Buur |

| The Somali National Army backed by the Ethiopian soldiers serving under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) seized control of Eel Buur yesterday and have already conducted search operations today. In the search crackdown of Eel Buur’s neighborhoods, explosive devices as well as ammunition were found by soldiers and immediately confiscated the equipment. The exact objects retrieved during the search haven’t been specified yet, but they come at a time where there are no citizens present in Eel Buur. Yesterday, the district in the Galgaduud region was officially liberated by the Somali National Army and Ethiopian contingent of AMISOM. |
