2014-04-02 |
[MAGHAREBIA] Two Tunisian coppers on Monday (March 31st) received seven-year prison sentences for a 2012 rape that drew international attention, AFP reported. The coppers had denied the charge, instead accusing the victim of seeking to seduce them. Journalists were barred from attending the closed court session. Outside the Tunis court house, a group of supporters waved banners and shouted slogans, including Tunisian women's rights activist Amina Sboui. |
