[Tolo News] At least two non-combatants were killed and nine others, including women and kiddies, were maimed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in southern Ghazni province on Tuesday night, local officials said.The incident took place in the Gilan district of the province, when a civilian vehicle struck a hidden roadside kaboom, said Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, the Deputy Governor of Ghazni.
"The mine was placed by Taliban snuffies on Election Day and it killed and injured innocent civilians," he said.
The victims have been taken to the nearby hospital for emergency care
On Monday evening, at least 15 ungunnies were killed by a roadside kaboom while traveling in southern Kandahar province.
The blast came after a relatively calm weekend in which no major attacks were reported as Afghans voted for a new president and provincial council members.
