Dingy Harry Behind Ranch Rakeover |
2014-04-12 |
The Bureau of Land Management, whose director was Sen. Harry Reid's (D-Nev. Deleted from BLM.gov but reposted for posterity by the Free Republic, the BLM document entitled "Cattle Trespass Impacts" directly states that Bundy's cattle "impacts" solar development, more specifically the construction of "utility-scale solar power generation facilities" on "public lands." "Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle," the document states. Back in 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid's son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada. And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well. "[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert," he wrote. "Reid has been one of the project's most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada." No comment necessary. I suspected something like this. |

#23 I doubt it's over, too much money and power involved. I hope the Bundy's keep an eye out. |

#22 Funny how the Feds left when all this political payola stuff started linking to Reid and others. The stench of corruption is getting bad enough to where even the media can't just play it off or misdirect. |

#17 Left Attorney Rory Reid a voice message on his office phone this morning. Encouraged him to go public about the controversial appearance of pushing US Citizens off their property for the Chinese Communists. Asked him to go public as to how much money is in it for him and his father. |

#13 Why is it that these jack-booted stand-offs seem to always happen under Democrat administrations? Waco comes to mind under the Clinton administration where women and children had to be killed in order to save them (sarc). |

#11 No fly zone was enforced after Bundy flew over the Butte and found the Reid hardboyz camp. He told reporters about what he saw. So much for transparency. The head of the BLM was a senior adviser to Reid. As soon as the story broke yesterday I called the DC office of Harry Reid and the guy who answered the phone yelled "NOT TRUE!" and hung up immediately. Called the Washington DC BLM office yesterday and the recording stated they were no longer accepting calls. Called the Nevada BLM office yesterday and immediately she transfered me to a voice mail box as soon as she realized I was inquiring about the Reid/Chinese/BLM stooge connection. More information about Rory Reid and the stooge that runs BLM would be nice to have. |

#9 ...but did he discuss the family relationship with the Chinese? Yeah, they were oblivious to it. That's the line. |

#8 Requisite denials. “I have never discussed the project with my father or his staff,” said Rory Reid. Kristen Orthman, a spokeswoman for the senator, said he had not discussed the project with his son. |

#6 Reid knows he has to move now and get his payoff, because it's likely come next year he may have difficulties delivering. |

#4 Justice Depart blocks FBI corruption investigation of Senators Reid and Lee. [Washington Times] FBI agents working alongside Utah state prosecutors in a wide-ranging corruption investigation have uncovered accusations of wrongdoing by two of the U.S. Senate’s most prominent figures — Majority Leader Harry Reid and rising Republican Sen. Mike Lee — but the Justice Department has thwarted their bid to launch a full federal investigation. |

#3 Now all we need is a Congressman Mike Rogers and wife Kristi Aegis LLC link. I wonder what Private Military Company is employed in the removal of the cattle? As someone said elsewhere in the Burg, "we knew it was coming." |
