| Derna attacks intensify |

| [MAGHAREBIA] A kaboom on Monday (May 5th) targeted the Libyan interior ministry's financial control office in Derna, Libya Herald reported. The bomb, placed in a bag, had been left in front of the building. An official from the office said they had received threats and warnings not to pay salaries to any local members of the army or police. On Saturday, an Islamist group calling itself Shabaab al-Mohammedanin took control over the former regime people's committee building and turned it into an Islamic court. |
