| Mortars thump districts in Mogadishu |

| According to news reports from Dharkeynley in Benadir region, indicate that several mortar shells that were broadly flung last night destroyed a number of homes resulting in rigorous fatalities. The Somali government troops and Al-Shabaab insurgents also had a skirmish in the district last night. The Dharkeynley district administration has not spoken out about the barrage of shells or specified the precise numbers of casualties and losses.
