| Unknown gunmen kill 2 soldiers southeastern Yemen |

| [Iran Press TV] Unidentified gunnies have killed two Yemeni soldiers in the southeastern part of the country, says a security official. "Unknown gunnies shot up a military vehicle, killing two soldiers," the official said on Monday. According to the security official, the soldiers were killed in an ambush on an army patrol at the entrance to Shehr, a coastal town in Hadramawt province. The official further noted that the attackers fled the area. Yemen has witnessed regular attacks on its troops and authorities, with officials blaming al-Qaeda turbans for the deadly assaults. On Wednesday, Yemeni army officials said General Mohsen Saeed al-Ghazali, an aide to Yemeni Defense Minister Muhammad Nasir Ahmad, and four soldiers had bit the dust in an attack in Shabwa province's Azzan city. |
