| Man held with 50kg explosives |

| [Dhaka Tribune] The officials of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have apprehended a man possessing 50kg of explosives from Keraniganj area in the outskirts of the capital, on Tuesday afternoon. The detained, Swapan, 42, is from Jhenidah district. Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner at the Media Centre of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the seizure. The DC of the DMP-Media also said a press briefing has been organised at the CID headquarters in the capital's Malibagh in the evening in regard to this incident. He said: "Detailed information will be disclosed at the press briefing." CID officials said some 1000 bombs can be made with the explosives. |
