Obama Begins New Foreign-Policy Push
2014-05-25
President to Again Explain View of U.S. Role in World
God help us.
President Barack Obama, in a commencement address at the United States Military Academy at West Point
'Cause duty honor and country are what he's all about, unless the focus groups say otherwise.
on Wednesday, will launch a new attempt to define a foreign-policy doctrine that he believes is misunderstood.
Get it - we're just too stupid to understand his brilliant foreign policy. This time TOTUS will only have small words on it.
He is expected to advocate for his view of a limited U.S. military role.
And of course the best way to limit the role of the military is not to have one. Besides, they're politically unreliable.
In Ukraine, critics have charged that a perception of U.S. weakness emboldened Russian President Vladimir Putin to take advantage by seizing Crimea.
That's a fancy way of saying that Putin thinks he's a wuss.
His speech on Wednesday will come as the White House is grappling with an unexpected standoff with Russia, which the U.S. previously considered an ally.
Who exactly in the U.S. considered Russia an ally?
Middle East peace talks have stalled, the conflict in Syria continues to deepen and the U.S. is approaching a critical point in negotiations to reach a nuclear deal with Iran by a July deadline.
To say nothing of the South China Sea issues. But other than that, things are great. As far as I know, Costa Rica has no immediate plans to invade us.
The White House official said Mr. Obama's remarks on Wednesday will begin an administration-wide effort to publicly explain his doctrine, with planned speeches over the summer by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State John Kerry, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and other proven liars no one believes who will "take on pieces of the agenda and engage the debate over foreign policy with an affirmative U.S. case."
At the end of which, Putin will still think Champ's a wuss.

#5  Actually, he's in Afghanistan today

So, go back to when Bush made surprise appearance in Afghanland and repost the remarks of the usual Leftists. See if they can take it as they dished it out.

#1  A pivotal diversion which will likely accomplish nothing at all. His holiday and time would be much better spent quietly visiting VA hospitals.
