government on Tuesday started the paperwork but haven't done much else against tribal leader Mir Shafiq Mengal in connection with the murder of eight Levies personnel in Balochistan's Khuzdar district last week, an official said.
An officer from the Balochistan government's Home and Tribal Affairs department who requested anonymity told Dawn that the FIR was lodged against Mengal in relation to the murder of the eight personnel.
"Another 100 gunnies -- some of them identified and others unidentified -- were also booked for attacking the Levies checkpost," he said.
