| Painter held for preparing banners against judiciary |

[DAWN] Aabpara police have placed in durance vileYez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! a painter along with his two workers for preparing and displaying banners inscribed with slogans against the judiciary and the Supreme Court, police said on Wednesday. The banners were displayed at different areas of the city including Aabpara. The police picked up the painters from different markets of the city and identified them from their handwriting. The police said during interrogation the painter disclosed that he was given an order to paint 15 banners for which he took Rs9,000 and displayed them at the desired location of his client. He also told the police that he painted the banners while the other two displayed them, the police said, adding that he also gave the address of the man who gave him the order. But when the police raided his house, it was found locked. The accused were produced in the court of law which gave them into police custody. |
