| Bangladesh Sentences 8 Islamists To Death Over 2001 Attacks |

| [Ynat] DHAKA - A Bangladeshi court sentenced to death eight members of an outlawed Islamist Death Eater group in connection with a series of kabooms 13 years ago that killed 10 people, lawyers said on Monday. The Islamists, including the head of the Death Eater group Harkat-ul Jihad Islami ((HuJI Founded in 1984 by Fazlur Rehman Khalil and Qari Saifullah Aktar. The Bangla branch was established in 1992 with assistance from Osama bin Laden. Recruits come mostly from Deobandi madrassahs.
