| MOGADISHU -- At least two persons have been reported killed in deadly blast in Mogadishu's Karaan district according to witnesses on Monday, Garowe Online reports. Conflicting reports emerged, with some accounts disclosing that the fatalities from the bombing that was planted in a building housing Kaaraan municipal authority included two government soldiers. Bystanders who sustained injuries are being treated at Keysaney hospital, sources said. Security forces arrived at the scene of the explosion but perpetrators remain unidentified. The broad daylight blast comes just days after Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group pledged more rampage as ordinary citizens continue to observe the fasting month of Ramadan. |
