"Sweden ever so quickly has gone from so-called anti-Zionism to open anti-Semitism"

[Legalinsurrection] Swedish Jew visiting Israel told by friend: "Don't come back here, you have no idea how bad it has become since you left."

#12  Thanks for the info on the Swede volunteers borgboy - I had not run across that unit. Good stuff.

#11  I was talking to my wife's cousin who is Jewish and had lived in Malmo. He moved to Israel from Sweden which he says is increasingly anti-Semitic and is getting dangerous. He also mentioned that rape never was a problem among the native Swedish population before but it is now. He moved to Israel. I guess he thinks it is less dangerous, (ha!) dodging rockets from Hamas. I came across an article published in the Jewish Daily Forward that describes the problems in Malmo for Jews. The situation has gotten worse since then. Things don't seem to be much better for Christians in Muslim-dominated countries. Here.

#10  Rex: thx for correction. However it is documented that Swedes did fight for the axis. A book recently came out - I forgot the title - about Swedish Volunteers. And yes, the division was a tough group of warriors. Used as a 'fire brigade' on the Eastern Front after disaster at Kursk.

#9  Who said it was disrespectful? Israeli flag is a symbol to a lot of folks---not just Jews.

#8  I can understand how an Israeli flag flown over sausages on a grill could be interpreted as disrespectful. I don't understand why they would do that.

There are a lot of Americans like me who have ancestors from Northern Ireland. The "troubles" they have kinda strike a nerve with me and from where I sit it all seems pointless. The parade sounds like fun. Maybe it's easy for me to say because I don't live there but I think there would be room enough for all of them if they could just stop hating each other. They don't seem all that different except for the churches they attend and the flags they fly.

#7  While you're about it, Ebbang Uluque6305, tell these folk not to fly the Israeli flag.

#6  OK, don't get me wrong, I am not anti-Semitic. But I kinda understand that Swedes don't want to see Israeli flags hanging from balconies and in window displays just the way I don't like seeing Mexican flags in California being displayed the same way. If you live in Sweden and you wanna fly a flag, show some respect to the locals and fly the Swedish flag. If you live in the United States, fly the Stars and Stripes. If you wanna fly a Mexican flag, go back to Mexico.

#5  5th SS Panzer Division Viking was comprised of Norwegian Volunteers- a very tough outfit. The Swedes could have formed the Sturm Brigade Chocolat

#4  As if there is any difference between "you should not have you home where your ancestors lived" and "you should not have a home".

#3  Not due to native Swedes, but the influx of Muslims "refugees" which have refused to assimilate.

#2  Which, again, is why Israel exists. History is beyond reproach in warning you that you can not count on others to protect you.

#1  Will they reform the SS Division Viking to lead the way?
