PTI decides to resign all Pakistan parliamentary seats
2014-08-19
It looks like Taliban Khan wants to become Khaleda Zia.
[Iran Press TV] The party of Pakistain's politician, Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality problems...
, has announced plan to quit all its seats in the country's National Assembly amid ongoing anti-government protests in the capital, Islamabad.

"We are resigning from the National Assembly, Punjab Assembly, Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
Assembly and Sindh Assembly," Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi, vice-chairman of Khan's Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) party, told news hounds on Monday.

He further noted that the PTI is still making a decision about what to do in the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central...
, where they hold sway.

Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf political party is the third largest in Pakistain's national assembly after center-left Pakistain People's Party led by Bilawal Baby Bhutto Zardari
...Pak dynastic politician, son of Benazir Bhutto and grandon of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. As far as is known, Bilawal has no particular talents other than being pretty and being able to memorize political slogans, but he had the good luck to be born into the right family and he hasn't been assassinated yet...
and Sharif's center-right party, Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, the radioactive tadpoles grown into frogs. Really big frogs, in fact...
Canada-based outspoken holy man, Tahirul-Qadri, has threatened to expand anti-government protests to four provinces unless the incumbent Pak prime minister leaves office.

"We will take our protests to the picturesque provincial capitals if government failed to accept our demands," Qadri said during a speech to supporters in Islamabad on Monday.

Tens of thousands of people have descended on Islamabad in recent days, answering the calls from Khan and Qadri to push for Sharif's departure.

Both Khan and Qadri have left an offer of talks from Pak prime minister dangling. Khan has not responded to the government's call for talks, seeking more details. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
Qadri has rejected the offer outright.

Khan and Qadri have called for Sharif to quit, accusing him of corruption and ballot rigging during last year's parliamentary elections. The pair wants new elections to be held in Pakistain.

They vowed to keep up anti-government demonstrations until their demands are met and Sharif leaves office.
