| [DAWN] RAWALPINDI: A lady health worker (LHW) was rubbed out at her doorstep in Cantt View Colony on Range Road on Friday. Police said though the LHW was a member of a polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. He further said the murder of the LHW could not be linked with the polio campaign because there was no drive going on in Fatehjang area. The officer said the woman had been attacked earlier but at that time, she did not cooperate with police investigation. |
