Leon Penetta: U.S. too late for Syria, or was that Benghazi? |
2014-09-23 |
The rise of the brutal Islamic State group can partly be blamed on President Champ's failure to arm moderate Syrian rebels far earlier, said former U.S. defense secretary Leon Panetta. Pure deflection. Champ now 'partly' under his own bus. Note the absence of mention of the U.S. troop pull-out from Iraq. |

#5 so sayeth the Teabagger monkeys Sorry to keep you waiting, Jerky. Suppertime. Paraphrasing your post: "Teabagger monkeys in my soup See them duck when I throw poop Gosh oh gee, I'm smelling gas Following 'Burgers to kiss their ass In every bowl of soup I see Teabagger monkeys watching me I made 'em put me in their zoo Those teabagger monkeys in my stew When I get hold of the big bad apes I just push them under to drown They pop back up with a million japes And I run and pout and frown Teabagger monkeys in my head Didn't even hear the words I said I hope I entertained the troupe Of Teabagger monkeys in my soup" |

#3 Too late when he failed to bomb Assad's forces a couple of years back. Had he done that the Syrian war would be long over. |

#2 It was too late right before they took down Quadaffi, but it made the Euro's happy. |

#1 In fairness, in an interview yesterday Penetta did mention that he "wished we could have retained a residual force in Iraq".... or words to that effect. Evidently he's stumping a new book which he has written. |
