| Foreign Ministry HQ "handed over" to National Salvation Government's appointee |

| [Libya Herald] Mohammed Agheirani, newly-appointed foreign minister in the Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... -created National Salvation Government, has "received" the Foreign Ministry building in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... from the General National Congress (GNC) in an official ceremony. In his speech, Agheirani, the former ambassador to Jordan, fired earlier this month, said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs could not continue to "keep its doors closed", but that all ministry employees were desperately needed back at work. Agheirani called on neighbouring Arab countries and the rest of the international community,i nternational organizations and diplomatic missions in particular, to return to Libya, reopen the embassies and conduct business as usual. "We need the cooperation of the international community to fight against terrorism and illegal immigration," Agheirani said, adding "To those who have been hesitant to accept Libya Dawn's control of Tripoli, we reiterate that we are working hard to correct the path of the 17 February Revolution" . |
