| [NY Times] Sweden’s new center-left government has decided to recognize the state of Paleostine, the new prime minister, Stefan Lofven, said during his inaugural address to Parliament on Friday. Sweden will be the first major state of the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... to recognize Paleostine, although some East European countries did so during the Cold War, before they joined the Union. |
