#30  Barack's biographical odyssey
Was read by his friends as theodicy;
His juvenile tripping,
While gruesome and gripping,
Led others to ask, "Wow, how odd is he?"

#29  Oh come on, stop the navel gazing. Obama is an average Cook County/Chicago Liberal Democrat who can't get a pothole filled. A majority over voters voted for the Illinois Economic Magic not once but twice! They are the ones who should ask "how crazy/narcissistic am I?"

#28  I remember a comment from a few weeks ago that described Obama's feelings about the one private sector job he ever had as being 'behind enemy lines'. Any wonder why our economy's a dumpster fire?

#27  The guy was never really vetted. What does anyone now of him? With most other presidents or the average joe for that matter, they have a trail of people who knew them. Most people have people who know or knew them; for example people from grade school or high school, people from college, people whose wedding they were in, neighbors over the years, people who worked with the individual, people in a boy scout/girl troop, a football or basketball team, former teachers, relatives, etc. Obama is a ghost. For all anyone knows, he spent 20 years in a mental institution somewhere. Think about a guy like Bush or Reagan, or most other presidents, most of us knew them in some way that we could relate to. We could picture them as Americans with a shared set of common experiences. With "O" none of this seems to be true.

If you look at the few scant experiences which are reported about Obama, he smoked dope and did cocaine by his own admission, he was raised with Muslim and communist influences, and his mother and father abandoned him. It would seem that much of that is a set up for mental illness. Others in this thread have mentioned his behaviors while president that would indicate that mental illness is a strong possibility.

#26  This one sounds spot on

#25  I think part of it is his, or their, narcissism. Remember "we are the ones we have been waiting for!" And the Obama seal, and let's not forget the Greek columns.
The other part is that he is simply unqualified for the job. He is as qualified as I am to quarterback the Seahawks. He has never had to be responsible for anything. Never built anything. Never met payroll. So he depends on the likes of ValJar and Buffet (or worse yet a committee), Eric Holder, and the Racist Wonder Twins (Jackson and Sharpton) and others to make his decisions for him.

#24  narcissist? Yes! But then you have to be to hold the position. He is immature, Follows the lead of a woman from Iran, Has never had to perform under pressure, Has never had to finish anything, or even see it through to completion. He is completely incapable of managing the position he is in. incompetent? Yes, Crazy? Nope.

#23  Bambi isn't a bad President because of his race

But he got the job despite total lack of qualification, and kept it---despite sub-standard performance, because of his race.

What's a matter with you Americans? Somebody says "racist", and you immediately fold up. I don't understand why your muggers carry guns. IMO, all they've got to do is say "Gimme the money, you racist!".

#22  No you wouldn't, grom. From the comment of the person who did see it, it was probably racist.

Bambi isn't a bad President because of his race, he's a bad President because he's a narcissistic, thin-skinned, psychopathic loser.

#20  I don't think it's "borderline," #18 OS. :-(

#19  Modern discourse disallows reference to the vertical component of life and so treats evil, which arrives through that component, as a mental disease, as belonging to the horizontal component of life. This restriction distorts and attenuates analysis of any condition in which evil operates and makes conclusions regarding any such condition superficial and unsatisfactory. The personality in question is indeed mentally ill, but that is only the half of it. Were he/she only that, they would have been unmasked and cauterized decades ago. It is the other half of their phenomenology, the one arriving on the vertical component of life, which accounts for their having got so far as they have. It is also what makes them globally rather than merely locally dangerous and destructive. No mere mad-man could cause even just the havoc already wrought by this personality, much less the unimaginable but certain "more to come" we have yet to observe and cope with as best we can.

#18  Been saying this since day one - Obama is a borderline sociapath and narcissist.

#17  This is a pathetic thread altogether, but racist comments, like the last, especially diminish the site.

One comment isn't reflective on the commenters in their entirety, and you should know that. Lighten up, Francis.

#15  I'm afraid that kind of power attracts that kind of man, or woman. Wouldn't both of the Clintons fit that description? The lies, the smiling, the complete disregard for consequences to others? That's why we have elections. That's why we have checks and balances. But this guy got pretty far along before people got wise. It is chilling.

#11  Well ask yourself, what do you really know, really know, about him ?

AlanC, Besoeker, and rjschwarz have pointed out characterizations of the person, and yet very little information is really known and verified about his character, motivations or accomplishments. He could have acted this way for a very long time, but successfully hid his foibles, from all but his closest friends. ValJar springs to mind. airandee and Injun Ulomoque8628 have hit the target with their comments, me, I agree with ed in texas but many people see what Skidmark said.

#10  When Reagan came down with alzheimers many lefties were quick to insinuate the onset was during his presidency.

It wouldnt surprise me if unhappiness for the one takes that course rather than admit they were willfully duped.

#9  Judging by the PC, AGW, "islamophobia" the whole western civilization is mentally ill.

#8  I personally think you'd need to be mentally ill to want the job.
Posted by: ed in texas   2014-11-08 07:39

#7  And what does that say about the people around him that ignore his behavior for their own personal, professional and ideological gain?
Posted by: airandee

It was a difficult time, we were simply following orders.

#6  In defiance of his military advisors, quite thoughtful of the Champ to postpone the announcement of additional military deployments until after the election. Too bad Anbar residents, you lose.

#3  - An oversized ego.
- Lying and showing manipulative behavior.
- Incapable of showing empathy.
- No lack of shame or remorse.
- Staying eerily calm in dangerous situations.
- Behaving irresponsibly or with extreme impulsivity.
- Having few close friends.
- Being charming ---but only superficially.
- Living by the pleasure principle.
- Showing disregard for societal norms.
- Having intense eyes.

With reference to his AFG an PAK drone zap campaign:

"I'm pretty good at killing people."

Mentally ill? That's probably a safe bet too.
