According to a report by the Ynet news site, the soldiers fired at the teen's legs after he didn't respond to calls to stop and identify himself.
The IDF spokesperson's unit said that earlier on Saturday three Paleostinians approached the security fence in the northern Gazoo Strip. The troops fired warning shots but the suspects refused to comply, so the soldiers fired at the lower extremities of one Paleostinian, confirming a hit.
On Friday night, Israeli troops shot a Paleostinian man in his 20s who approached the border fence near the town of Jabaliya, the Paleostinian Ma'an News agency reported. |
