'Iran Has Never Conducted Air Strikes Against Islamic State' |
2014-12-04 |
[Ynet] Iran has not launched any air strikes against Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... targets in neighbouring Iraq, a senior Iranian official told Rooters on Wednesday. "Iran has never been involved in any air strikes against the Daesh (Islamic State) targets in Iraq. Any cooperation in such strikes with America is also out of question for Iran," the bigwig said on condition of anonymity. |

#7 Why is Iran scared of IS or is it for local consumption that they never work with the Great Satan for any reason? |

#6 Iran was not involved, just some of their people volunteered and did it, same as all those IRGC operators in Iraq fighting Coalition Forces until GWB quietly made the ayatollahs an offer they could not refuse, and the Iranian shaped charges carried and set by volunteers from Iran, but not as Iran, suddenly were not there: not Iran, just volunteers. |

#5 Any cooperation in such strikes with America is also out of question for Iran There is the important part. I suspect the "senior official" is speaking for public consumption rather than out of a concern for factual accuracy. |

#3 The Greeks, the Turks, and the South Koreans still have F-4s. I don't know how many are left in the boneyards; they've pretty much been used up as target drones. |

#1 So, I guess that means either Fiji or Lithuania still has a few F-4s lying around Odd Does San Marino or Andorra have F-4s? |
