| Gulf states insist on support for HoR, Thinni government |

| [Libya Herald] The six members of Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... as well as Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and the UAE, issued a unanimous and explicit statement of support for the HoR and the Thinni government at their summit in Doha yesterday. Everyone in Libya should "support the legitimacy" of the HoR, the statement read. The leaders of the six member states, including the Emir of Qatar, also condemned the militias "and their control over the Libyan arena". Stressing "the importance of the security and stability of Libya and its territorial integrity", they also called for an immediate halt to the violence and called for national reconciliation. The unequivocal support given to the HoR and Thinni government, in contrast to the position taken by UN Special Representative Bernardino Leon, was unexpected. Qatar has been accused by the Libya government and the HoR, as well as a number of foreign governments of actively backing Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... The GCC played an initial pivotal role in the overthrow of the Qadaffy regime. It was the first international body to call for a no-fly zone over Libya at the beginning of March 2011, a call that was subsequently taken to the Arab League ...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing... and endorsed by it, and then to the UN Security Council Because the request came from the vaporous Arab League, it made it impossible for Russia and China to veto it. |
