| #7 Nah, more like the end part of the movie Lawrence Of Arabia (q.v.) From the Wikipedia description of the final scenes... The Arabs set up a council to administer the city, but they are desert tribesmen, ill-suited for such a task. The various tribes argue among themselves and in spite of Lawrence's insistence, cannot unite... Unable to maintain the utilities and bickering constantly with each other, they soon abandon most of the city Filmed 40 years after the events, and nearly 60 years ago from today's events. Some things (especially Arabs) never change. |
