Los Angeles police are investigating whether gunfire in South Los Angeles on Sunday night was aimed at two officers responding to a call, officials said Monday.The officers were in a black-and-white patrol car driving southbound on Hoover Street near 62nd Place on Sunday night when they said they saw a muzzle flash – the visible blast from a gun – and determined they were being fired at, said LAPD Lt. Andy Neiman. The officers were able to return fire, officials said.
