| Azizi Bank employees among 4 killed in Helmand explosion |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least four people were killed following an kaboom in southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province of Afghanistan this evening. A local security official said the incident took place around 5:00 pm local time in Lashkargah, the capital city of Helmand province. The official further added that the bank?s branch manager was killed along with two other bank employees and a police officer. Eyewitnesses in the area are saying that the blast took place due to a magnetic improvised bomb kaboom which was planted in the vehicle of the bank employees. No group including the Talibs has so far grabbed credit behind the incident. Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where anti-government armed myrmidon groups are actively operating and frequently carry out insurgency activities. |
