#4 The Beretta M9 was preferable to the really worn out 1911's I had in the National Guard that wouldn't go 7 rounds without a jam. From what little I have read, the jams can be attributed to after market magazines and the 9mm FMJ has never been much of a stopper. I do think there are better designs out there now that weren't available in 1985 and it will be interesting what the military chooses to replace the Beretta M9 with. |
