Islam has never earned anything, and like Cain, stricken by grief that it's "contribution" to the sacrosanct belief of one God, only destroyed faith in it's own members further driving them to more masculine handling of the situation as to harness the relative higher powers without consulting. | #1 It is time to delegitimize the term 'islamophobia!' In a free and open pluralistic society every philosophy, system of ideas, ideology or religion will encounter competing and oppositional ideas on the free marketplace of ideas. 'Islamophobia' equates the normalcy of a free society with a disease or disorder. The implication being that such a disease must be treated and eradicated i.e. the freedom and openness of a normal Western society is something to be abolished. Whoever uses 'islamophobia' in any other context than to criticize the term itself thus necessarily reveals himself as an enemy of fundamental Western freedoms. Islam is not sacrosanct. It can be tolerated as a competitor in the free marketplace of ideas. The price for such tolerance is Islam's tolerance for anti-islamic messages. Period. |
