Wolf Blitzer gets a clue: So many veto threats at State of the Union ?
2015-01-22
[Wash Free Bacon] During the State of the Union address, President Obama was not shy in telling the Republican majority that he will veto any bill that came across his desk that would dismantle any of the legislation that he has worked to put in place.

'I don'€™t remember a State of the Union address where I heard a president issue so many veto threats to the opposite party in the United States Congress,' Wolf Blitzer said.
Sort of begs the question eh Wolf. When have you ever seen a president like this one ?

#7  Here's some easy ideas for bills to send up.

No funding for the White house kitchen, until all federal regulations on school lunches are withdrawn. Let Michelle do the cooking until then.

No funding for Air Force One, until the veterans hospital wait list meets the VA's current standards.

Require Senate confirmation (and corresponding disclosure statements) of all paid White House staff positions. If they can handle approving the promotions to Major in all the armed services, they can handle executive staffers.

Forbid civil forfeiture in federal courts without a conviction of a person holding that property prior to the civil proceeding.

Admit Puerto Rico and incorporate Guam as part of the State of Hawaii.

Remove public sector unions at all levels of government from the Wagner Act.

Direct that all federal agencies shall issue orders to permit pipelines for oil and gas as well as LNG export terminals, or be defunded.

Legislate National standards for competency to purchase a firearm, CCW, and transport to clear out the underbrush of local laws.

There are many more. This is just a start.

#5  Pass a bill limiting Federal Level politicians from going golfing more than twice a month. Let him veto and look very out of touch with America.

You assume that this Congress is opposed to Champ, but Tame Republicans (Boehner, McConnell) share many of his policy goals.

#3  Congress needs to send this pathetic jackass bill after bill, each focused on a specific goal/policy issue that represents their vision for the return to prosperity, security and traditional American exceptionalism that they spoke about in the campaign. Bill after bill, things the people want and believe in, so that the true nature of this man (and ValJar)can be seen. Stop being reactive to his use of the daily Castr-like rants he gives and set your agenda, don't let him continue to set the narrative. Obama thrives on attention and prestige, not the act of governance or problem solving. He isn't a steward of the people's trust, he's a grifter with an insecurity complex as deep as a well. He loves flying around the country giving meaningless speeches in front of carefully selected audiences and adoring syncophants and useful idiots. Fundraising and preening, that is his hunger, all the rest is just annoying to him, since he actually has disdain for much of the national character and people he fooled into trusting him.

#2  Force him to veto it. Attach popular items the people want and let Obama veto.

Veto.
Veto.
