| Suicide Attack Kills Seven North of Baghdad |

| [AnNahar] A suicide kaboom in the Taji area, north of the Iraqi capital, killed at least seven people and maimed 17 on Thursday, security and medical officials said. It was not immediately clear if the target was the area's sprawling military base or an entrance to Taji itself, and the number of jacket wallahs was unknown. U.S. military trainers are based at Taji, helping to instruct some 1,600 Iraqi soldiers in a six-week program aimed at readying them to face the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (IS) jihadist group. There was no immediate claim for the attack, but suicide kabooms are a tactic almost exclusively employed by Sunni bad boy groups in Iraq, including IS. |
